Vizcaya Part 1

Every visitor to Miami must visit Vizcaya.  It is an amazing place to visit.  It was built in 1916 by agricultural industrialist James Deering.  Its interesting to walk through the home and listen to its history and how its inhabitants lived back in the day.   Vizcaya features a main house and ten acres of gardens.

An added bonus is that it has some of the nicest views in the entire city. Many brides and "quinceaneras" use the gardens as the setting for their precious photographs.

I have so many beautiful photographs, I've decided to divide the photos into several posts.  My next few posts will include all the photos.
Take the family for a visit you will truly enjoy!

Miami International Film Festival, March 4-13, 2011

The Miami International Film Festival is always an enjoyable experience.

I usually enjoy the films presented in the Film Festival and I attend every year.  Last year we saw several movies, but my favorite was City Island with Andy Garcia and Juliana Margolis.  This year we've seen The Names of Love and we will see Magic City Memoirs directed by Aaron Salgado with Andy Garcia as executive producer.  In addition to enjoying the international films, you can also take part in many other MFF events, like parties, seminars, movie premieres and more.

My husband and I are also members of the Miami Film Society.  As a member, we are able to obtain tickets at reduced rates, we have access to year-round events, we attend sneak screenings, networking events and panel discussions.  Join the Miami Film Society, by calling 305-237-7979.

To purchase tickets for the Miami Film Festival visit, http://www.miamifilmfestival.com/ or call 305-405-6433

Post your comments about your MFF experiences on this blog.  See you there!

Visit Miami Beach

Miami Beach with its fabulous people, fabulous beaches, fabulous shopping and fabulous restaurants is a great place to spend your vacation.

The Atlantic Ocean has warm, clear waters and it’s a wonderful place to swim, take on water sports, or participate in numerous enjoyable activities. There is plenty to do for people of all ages and activity levels.

The beach is perfect for flying a kite as the sun is setting, picking up a game of beach volleyball, football,  badminton, boogie-boarding or wake boarding, snorkeling, jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, swimming or sun-bathing (with appropriate sun protection of course).

Another enjoyable activity for children of all ages is fishing with a hand-held net. You’d be surprised at the amazing little creatures you pick up in your net.

From South Beach to Mid Beach we have a tree-lined boardwalk which offers the possibility of walking, running, biking or rollerblading while still taking in the sites, literally surrounded by the ocean and trendy hotels and restaurants as you move along the boardwalk.

Visit our fabulous city and enjoy all it has to offer.
