Last night we attended the last Midtown Moonlit Movie for June. They showed the movie Rio. It was a very nice experience, especially because we had great weather. The park where the movie is shown is small and cozy. There are hedges and large planters separating the park from the walkways and busier areas. We had a nice breeze blowing through...it was just perfect!
Popcorn, drinks and candy are available to purchase. They were inexpensive at just $1.00 per bag of popcorn (small) or $1.00 per drink. There are some places to sit, but its better to bring a blanket or some chairs to ensure seating. We took a blanket but my husband ended up running to Target to buy chairs because we got there late and were sitting on the hard sidewalk.
The movie was cute, my kids want to buy it for their library.
We all enjoyed the experience tremendously.
Midtown looked beautiful.
I am not sure if they will continue to have the Moonlit Movies at Midtown but I hope so. It;s a great idea, it brings the community together and its nice to do something different once in a while.
I'm so happy we have a new, up and coming area in Miami. Midtown is a beautiful area to shop, dine or just hang out.
Although we don't own a Blue-ray disc player, I normally buy the Blu-ray combo that comes with the DVD and digital copy of the movie. They usually run around $30.00 and you have 3 versions of the movie. We add the digital copy to the ipad, itouch, etc. and the DVD is used in the players or in the car on long trips.
